The Robert Feulgen Prize 2025 will be awarded for an outstanding achievement in the field of histochemistry. The contributions may be either towards the development of new histochemical and cytochemical techniques or in the application of existing technology towards solving important problems in biology and/or medicine. The prize is not intended for lifetime contributions.

Prize Details:
- Monetary Prize: €2,000
- Plenary lecture at the 17th International Congress of Histochemistry and Cytochemistry in Rimini, Italy
- Refunded expenses for registration fee and accommodation
Eligibility:
- Scientists working in microscopical sciences (in the widest sense), biochemistry, cell biology, endocrinology, in situ molecular techniques, and neurosciences
- Mid-career researchers (typically up to 10 years after obtaining their PhD degree, including assistant or associate professors and priv. doz.)
Assessment Criteria:
- The Adjudication Committee will evaluate applications based on the following criteria:
- Alignment with the Society of Histochemistry’s research topics
- Position within the scientific career (mid-career focus)
- Recognition by the scientific community (e.g., citations of published works)
- Overall publication activity in high-quality journals
- Scientific contributions beyond publications (e.g., conferences, collaborations)
- Significance of your oeuvre in the current scientific landscape
